App-Ark Education Consulting was founded in 2009 with the belief that the value of one’s education is more than a degree. We do not simply go through the motions of throwing our students into the best schools. We strive to break down traditional student-teacher relationships by mentoring our students to think introspectively and critically. Here at App-Ark, we aim to prepare our students for their journey to the US, both academically and culturally.

About Maple Leaf International School
Maple Leaf International School opened its first campus in Dalian, PR China in 1995. Today MLES operates forty schools from pre-schools to high schools in more than ten cities, serving over 15,000 students. All of its schools operate in the British Columbia high school curriculum. Dalian, where MLES’s flagship campus is located, is a major city in northeastern China, with a population of over 8 million.
In 2014, App-Ark started to work with MLES and provide premium admissions consulting service to MLES students.
Job Description:
App-Ark is seeking creative people with a desire to work in international education to join our team as Education Consultants. In addition to guiding students through the application process, mentoring students and working out customized application strategies, we tackle a variety of projects from market research to academic analyses, in a fast-growing and competitive industry.
As an Education Consultant, your responsibilities will include:
Meeting with students to brainstorm essay topics and outlines
Individually mentoring students for academic and personal developments
Coordinating with Strategists and Application Consultants to meet students’ target goals
Contributing to bi-weekly committee critiques of essays
Writing articles for App-Ark’s periodic subscription on topics related to the college experience
Additional opportunities include preparing social and academic courses and workshops for students based on your academic and/or personal interests
The official title of “Education Consultant” does not fully capture what we do. We are constantly evaluating and innovating. From developing new education services to experimenting with more effective teamwork structures, each of us plays an essential role in the growth of the company. Job Requirements:
A positive attitude and a willingness to empathize with students of all levels
Native-level command of English
B.A. or B.S. from an accredited US university or college
Strong oral and writing skills to communicate clearly, persuasively, and effectively
A flexible attitude and willingness to adapt to unexpected changes
Conflict resolution skills and the ability to give and receive constructive criticism
